Habitat for Humanity is an international organization committed to providing affordable housing solutions to individuals and families. It is headquartered in Georgia. The Kanawha and Putnam County chapter has been in operation since 1988. Since then, thousands of area volunteers have built hundreds of local houses for residents. Habitat's most recent local project focused on building 35 houses on 50-acres along North Hills Drive in Charleston. In June 2025, leaders broke ground on a home at 908 Grant St. This will be the second house constructed on vacant properties on Grant Street in the past few months.

The workshop costs $85 per person, and all materials are included. Ridge to Ridge Sips & Treats will offer fall-inspired drinks and a spread of seasonal foods during the event. Interested participants may register for the workshop online. The South Charleston Farmers Market is located at 4008 Maccorkle Ave. SW.
