Chaleston Police to hold sobriety, child safety checkpoint

The checkpoint will take place in the area of U.S. Route 119 and MacCorkle Avenue.

fficers with the Charleston Police Department will hold a sobriety and child safety checkpoint on Tuesday, June 16, 2025, near the city's Kanawha City and the South Side neighborhoods.

The checkpoint will be held in conjuction with the Governor's Highway Safety Program.

Authorities say the checkpoint will take place from 6 p.m. to midnight. It will be conducted in the vicinity of MacCorkle Avenue and U.S. 119.
