Police seek public's help in identifying vehicle owner

Detectives allege the vehicle was connected to a burglary along Sunset Drive in Charleston.

he Charleston Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is requesting the public's help with an ongoing investigation.

On January 5, 2026, the Charleston Police Department responded to the 100 block of Sunset Drive in reference to a burglary. During their investigation, officers were provided with surveillance footage of the vehicle involved.

A still-shot from the surveillance footage, shown in the photos above, appears to show a red Toyota Tacoma with several several adhesive stickers on the rear window.

If you recognize the vehicle or have any information, officers ask that you get in touch with detectives at 304-348-6480.
